Snug doesn’t collect any personal information.

What we collect

Nothing. Snug doesn’t collect or send the developer any information, including your name, email, device identifiers, location, or how you use the app. There are no accounts, ads, analytics, or tracking.

Your videos

The videos you choose are shrunk only on your device and are never uploaded. Temporary files and backup copies of results stay in Snug’s storage on your device. If you turn on Keep Capture Date or Keep Location, Snug copies the date or location recorded in the original video into the new one. Location is off by default, because anyone you send the video to could see it.

Photos access

Snug only asks for permission to add items to Photos, so it can save your shrunk videos as new items. It never changes or deletes your originals, and it only reads the videos you pick.

What stays on your device

Settings such as saved sizes, save location, and codec are stored only on your device and are removed when you delete Snug. The number of free videos you’ve used is kept in your device’s keychain so it isn’t reset by reinstalling. It never leaves your device.

Purchases

Apple handles all purchases. Snug never receives your payment information.

Feedback emails

If you tap Send Feedback or Report This Problem, Snug opens an email draft that already lists the app version and language, device model, iOS version, and purchase status. A problem report also lists the original video’s size, length, and format, the size you chose, and the error message. The video and its file name are never included. Nothing is sent unless you send the email yourself, and you can edit or delete anything first. Emails are used only to look into your message and reply.

Sharing with others

Since Snug collects nothing, there’s nothing to share with anyone.
